How to Shade this Spring (feat. Warby Parker)

I woke up this morning to a view of nearby buildings generously covered in a layer of snow. Needless to say, the snow was not that much of a surprise, because hello it’s Chicago. But, I am so ready to pack my winter coat, scarf, hat and gloves and switch them for shorts, comfy tees and trustee sunglasses. I am so ready for Spring! And it’s just around the corner. A new season means it’s time for a new wardrobe! Out with the old and in with the new. Let’s start with some new sunnies!

Warby Parker launched their Spring 2017 collection today and am so excited to share it with you guys! The line of frames look very on trend and super fashionable. I should note, I was asked by Warby Parker to post about the launch but all opinions are my own and I was not sponsored in any way.

I personally do not wear prescription glasses or contacts, but I figured maybe some of you guys do and I think Warby Parker is a great company to research if you struggle to find fashionable prescription frames for eyeglasses or sunglasses Their frames are super cute and have an array of styles that everyone could enjoy and slay in. I put together some mini-looks using three of my favorite frames from the line and hope you guys find some inspiration to incorporate your own unique style with them.

One of the things I love about Warby Parker is that they let you try some of their frames for FREE and have them shipped to your home. Their “Home Try-On” program allows you to select 5 frames to test out for 5 days, so you can make sure you have frames that you know you will love and fit well.

Marigold is such an on trend color this month and think it pairs perfectly with all sorts of shades of blue. The Madison sunglasses have a traditional bridge and is a medium width, so it would look great on almost all face shapes. This frame also comes in two other colors, but the Sky Blue Crystal is my favorite. Blue is such a nice complement to warmer tones, especially yellow. You’re going to see yellow almost everywhere so a blue set of shades is a must! 3

Ok, now this is my favorite pair out of the entire collection! I am obsessed with anything that has a tortoise color/print. The Pearl sunglasses have a modified cat-eye with a winged cutaway. Super chic, super trendy. I’m obsessed.  Honestly, any color would look great with a tortoise color but for some reason, I keep envisioning a light shade of blue. I’m also seeing lots of baby blue’s in stores and magazines.

These are different, but a good different. The flat brow bridge gives the Moore sunglasses a boxier look, which has easily become a trend within the past season or two (Kim K has been sporting the boxy shade look for quite some time now).  I definitely get 70’s vibes from these shades. When I think of the 70’s I think of floral prints and flowy tops. This outfit combo from LOFT puts a modern twist on past 70’s trends. The relaxed fit of the utility blouse tucked into a simple floral print short gives me major 70’s feels. 1970’s in 2017’s? You better believe it. And the delicate shades of pink and yellow complement the Moore sunglasses nicely. Win-win! (Side note: Bell sleeves are also back in!)

There are a ton more frames to choose from within the Spring 2017, so be sure to check them out here! I hope you guys find some form of inspiration from this post to rock your best style this Spring. Let me know in the comments what you guys think about Warby Parker’s new line and which ones you would love to try (don’t forget about the “Home Try-On” perk).
